A Hanja name (say — 金民秀) is converted to its Korean reading (김민수) before reading. Long pure-Korean names, double names, even foreigners’ Korean names — anything from 1 to 10 characters works. The more accurate your hour (時), the clearer the grain of your saju.

  • How do you read a Hanja name?

    Enter a Hanja name (say — 金民秀, 洪吉童, 李秀賢) and, through a map of about 500 Korean name-reading characters, we auto-convert it to Hangul (김민수 · 홍길동 · 이수현) and then read its phonetic five elements. The result page shows both the original Hanja and the converted Hangul together.

  • Do long names or pure-Korean names work?

    Yes. We read anything from 1 to 10 characters. Long pure-Korean names like 샛별이슬 · 한가람 · 아름다운별, double surnames and double names like 남궁민수 · 황보영민, and foreigner-Korean names — all can be analyzed.

  • Can I mix Hangul and Hanja?

    You can. Mixed names like 金민수 or 이수秀 work too — Hanja is converted to its Korean reading, Hangul is read as-is. Rare Hanja with no mapping are noted and left out of the analysis.
